About La Voix de son Mètre

“Musical woodworker…”
That’s how I could define myself! Making wood articles for your guitars and other kinds of instruments is my pleasure!
Open to any special request, my creations are regularly expanded with new items, picks, slides, tonebars and washboards for your playing, bridge pegs, decorative plates or knobs for your instrument.
My background…
After good grades at school, I turned to a career as an aeronautical engineer. I very quickly understood that my place was in a workshop or outside rather than in an office. As I have always been fascinated by wood, a reconversion to the field of woodworking became obvious. A passion that I now put at the service of another one, the guitar and music in general.
My workshop, my tools…
Located in Auvergne in the Puy de Dôme, France, in the countryside and at an altitude of almost 600m, my modest workshop is no less well equipped! My wood lathe is my most faithful companion, I use it to make slides, bridge pegs and other potentiometer knobs.

My creations
I only work with local species and with rare exceptions recycled exotic woods (ebony piano keys), a little copper and sometimes bone. Picks, slides, tonebars, but also bridge pins, guitar stands, slide holders or key rings, knobs for potentiometers, trussrod cover… And for percussionists, I also make ash washboards! Of course, I am always happy to experiment and respond to your special requests, biscuits for resonators, bridges for banjos, noters for dulcimer, oud pegs, anything that can be made of wood and related to music!
