A boxwood tonebar is a totally different sound color from a stainless steel tonebar, less parasite noises, roundness, softness and warmth are its assets, whether acoustic on Weissenborn or electric on lapsteel, it will amaze you. Boxwood also offers a less slippery hold between the fingers than stainless steel, ideal when sweating.
The models presented are all equipped with a copper bar to weight them up and increase their sustain, which will nevertheless be less important than with a stainless steel model.
